Job applicants fear social media posts damage their prospects

A recent release from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has discovered students fear personal details and opinions expressed on Social Media websites, in particular Facebook, will damage their chances of being successful in job applications.

42% of the people surveyed by YouGov felt that the comments and posts they make online may threaten them in getting the job they have applied for.
