Hashtags for legal professions
Our recent hashtag analysis has focused on one of the increasingly busy sectors on Twitter and social media in general - the legal professions.
Encompassing lawyers and others in the legal trades, tweet volume has been rising steadily over the last few years.
The sector remains very immature in its understanding of the platform in general, amply demonstrated by a lack of any real engagement from most accounts.

Businesses ignore customer service on Twitter
A collection of surveys suggests that businesses on Twitter continue to ignore customers who contact them on the social media network.
The combined statistics, from sources in multiple countries and accounting for the monitoring of over 10,700 businesses, reveal that organisations have yet to fully understand the vital importance of feedback and managing their online relationships.

Has the average Twitter user changed?
Statistics published by Beevolve suggest that the average Twitter user has changed in profile - albeit slightly.
Using a huge sample data set of 36 million users, the survey reveals some interesting points. One thing that doesn't seem to have changed a great deal is the 53% of users that are females - because in 2011 this stood at 54%.

The UK's Crown Prosecution Service is to hold discussions with the
legal professions, academics and representatives from Facebook and
Twitter, on free speech via social media.
It follows the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) in the UK telling the BBC that "the right to be offensive has to be protected".
